Construction focus
High-end luxury residential · Tropical structural engineering in wood, steel and concrete · Passive sustainable design

Casa Luz de Ocaso is a high-end private residence in Nosara, Guanacaste, built by Blue Projects Construction and named an Award Winner at the Americas Property Awards 2025–2026, part of the International Property Awards. The home brings together wood, steel and concrete in a structure engineered for Costa Rica's Pacific coast, where every build has to answer to seismic activity, heavy seasonal rain, salt air and constant humidity. Passive sustainable design keeps the home comfortable while relying less on energy-intensive systems.

Building to an international award standard in a remote coastal town means solving problems most luxury builds never face. Materials and specialist trades had to be planned around Nosara's logistics and rainy season, and every structural detail had to be built to perform in the tropical climate for decades, not just at handover. The work was managed the way we run every project: detailed progress reports, with timelines, budgets and quality standards tracked against the plan at every stage.

The result is a home where architectural ambition and tropical engineering meet, and a clear measure of what 25+ years of experience and 50+ completed projects make possible in Nosara.
